Our Extended Care Program is an intensive outpatient program focused on a structured, monitored approach to treatment. This program is beneficial for people who have suffered consequences as a result of their addiction or mental health issues; for example, the loss of relationships, jobs, and opportunities. We help clients rebuild their independence and self-esteem through active participation in therapy
and reliance on support from the recovery community.
Clients in the Extended Care Program participate in daily activities for treatment including the following:
- In-depth participation in group and psychodrama therapy 3-4 times per
week - Individual session once a week with a counselor
- Behavior focused planning groups 3 times per week (focus on balancing
recovery and lifestyle; prioritizing sobriety in evening/weekend planning) - Family Therapy sessions and/or family participation in weekend therapy
programs - Required attendance to Twelve Step meetings
- Guidance and support in working the Twelve Steps
- Once a month intensive seven-day program which includes daily
psychodrama group therapy - Assistance with finding employment and/or support with enrolling in college
courses - Volunteering opportunities
- Community support from individuals in recovery
- Support in basic living skills including grocery shopping, meal planning, and
budgeting
