Extended Care

Our Extended Care Program is an intensive outpatient program focused on a structured, monitored approach to treatment. This program is beneficial for people who have suffered consequences as a result of their addiction or mental health issues; for example, the loss of relationships, jobs, and opportunities. We help clients rebuild their independence and self-esteem through active participation in therapy and reliance on support from the recovery community.

Clients in the Extended Care Program participate in daily activities for treatment including the following:

  • In-depth participation in group and psychodrama therapy 3-4 times per week
  • Individual session once a week with a counselor
  • Behavior-focused planning groups 3 times per week (focus on balancing recovery and lifestyle; prioritizing sobriety in evening/weekend planning)
  • Family Therapy sessions and/or family participation in weekend therapy programs
  • Required attendance to Twelve Step meetings
  • Guidance and support in working the Twelve Steps
  • Once a month intensive seven-day program which includes daily psychodrama group therapy
  • Assistance with finding employment and/or support with enrolling in college courses
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Community support from individuals in recovery
  • Support in basic living skills including grocery shopping, meal planning, and budgeting
